“Sad spectacle”: opposition busted Adán Augusto López for promoting Mandate Revocation

During the tours of Coahuila and Sonora, the head of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob) took advantage of the invitation of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) to promote the Revocation of Mandate to be held next Sunday, April 10.

That was not all, because the official from Tabasco not only promoted this democratic exercise, but said he was not afraid of the reprisals that the National Electoral Institute (INE) might impose, since he said he had the support of Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) himself.

Faced with these sayings and actions, different opposition figures decided to express their anger at the attitude of Adán Augusto López and the way in which he violated the Constitution with his public appearances at the side of the Morenoist cabinet.

Such was the case of political scientist Denise Dresser, who on social networks assured that both the secretary of the interior, Mario Delgado and the head of the National Guard, Luis Rodríguez Bucio, showed their PRI side with these meetings.

“Here the Secretary of the Interior violating the Constitution The head of the National Guard violating the Constitution. The president of Morena violating the Constitution. All of them showing and celebrating the little PRI artist inside them,” wrote the fellow journalist.

On behalf of the National Action Party (PAN), Senator Xóchitl Gálvez questioned the priorities of these officials, stating that they are “campaigning” while the country continues to be “burned by violence and insecurity”.

While the coordinator of the blue and white in the senate, Julen Rementería, challenged the secretary of the interior to fulfill his promise to send a proposal to disappear to the INE, since, he said, as soon as it gets into his hands he will “merge it into the garbage dump of history,” he said.

Another opposition representative was Jesús Zambrano, national leader of the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD). Through the networks, he indicated that he will denounce these three public servants for violating the law by promoting this popular consultation.

“They violate the law with impunity and impunity, now even involving the National Guard in Morena events. We will continue to denounce them so that the law applies to them,” Zambrano explained, while asking them to worry about the alarming number of homicides during López Obrador's government.

Political analysts were not far behind and shared their positions on the matter. One of them was León Krauze, who classified López's participation as a “sad spectacle”, which, he mentioned, seeks a regression in democracy.

The former head of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (STPS), Javier Lozano Alarcón, joined, who attacked the head of the Segob by sentencing that the official committed a “flagrant violation” of electoral legislation, since it promoted a democratic exercise when the country is in an electoral ban.

Finally, Leo Zuckerman requested that Adán Augusto López be added as one of Morena's possible presidential candidates for 2024, because, he said, that same day he began a campaign to obtain the support of 4Q supporters.
