Despite the fact that I have seven hernias in my spine, tomorrow I will have to get up an hour earlier because of p... summer time. The p... is forthcoming,” he wrote.

Before its publication, the reactions of netizens were not long in coming, as several users urged the legislator to promote the initiative to eliminate the time change because “it only alters the internal clock”.

“And the initiative as when would it be estimated? There are places in the country that does not apply such as Benito Juárez (alias Cancun) It is necessary that this change stops being made, it only alters the internal clock” and “Deputy, you in the campaign promised that it would repeal that decree and it is time that you don't even touch the subject anymore, what happened?” were some of the comments.

Since March 18, the deputy of the PT presented an initiative that seeks to eliminate daylight saving time, arguing that it “causes alterations of sleep and increases the feeling of tiredness”.

In presenting the initiative, the petista recalled that changing the clock every first Sunday in April was implemented during the “neoliberal” government of Carlos Salinas de Gortari, in the states of Nuevo León and Tamaulipas, with “economic reasons”.

However, he commented that it was until 1996 that Ernesto Zedillo approved its implementation at the national level, “thus prevailing the economic interests of a few despite the ever-increasing existence of counterproductive effects” that affect the health of the population.

Among his arguments, the deputy indicated that turning the clock forward causes “sleep disturbances, affecting the heart rate and increasing the feeling of tiredness, irritability or mood changes.”
