The first phase of ticket sales for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar has ended and more than 800,000 fans from all over the world have secured their place for football's biggest celebration globally. According to the body that regulates this sport, at this stage there was a greater interest from fans from the Arab world, which was added to the large number of requests they took from different parts of the world.

After the initial sales period by draw, the new sales phase saw Qatar, the United States, England, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates become the top five countries with the highest number of tickets purchased. Argentina, meanwhile, is part of the Top 10 together with Germany, India, Brazil and Saudi Arabia.

Tickets for individual matches, and tickets for the opening match and final, were the most popular products offered, but most fans also took advantage of this phase to seize team-specific tickets and the series of tickets for four stadiums.

In total, 804,186 entries fell into the hands of fans from all over the world who are eager to witness the event that will take place from November 21 to December 18 at the stadiums of Doha, the country's capital.

According to the statement released by FIFA, fans who were unsuccessful in the first sales phase will have another chance to apply for tickets in the next random selection sale period, which will be launched on the specialized site that created the agency on Tuesday, April 5 at 12:00 Doha time (6 AM).
