Juan Carlos Osorio would have agreed to negotiate his departure and there is already a coach who sounds to lead America

The coach met with Tulio Gomez and the team's board of directors on Monday. “La Mecha” is fifteenth in the BetPlay League

América de Cali's most recent defeat by the BetPlay League once again left Juan Carlos Osorio out with one foot out. The first time its continuity was discussed in the scarlet team was last October, prior to the final home runs of Colombian football, when, despite the clamor of the fans, the leadership ratified it in its place. Now, the question is different: Tulio Gómez, the team's top shareholder, seems not to put up with the risaraldense DT.

On March 28, sports journalist Jaime Dinas reported that the board of directors of the Caleño team was discussing with Osorio lowered what economic agreements to terminate his contract. Diego Saviola, another communicator, agreed.

In tune with them was Eduardo Luis, sports narrator at Win Sports:

The commentator also added that there is already a coach who likes a lot in America from Cali to take office, Harold Rivera. He led Independiente Santa Fe between 2019 and 2021. He has experience taking over the position of DT in critical instances, such as La Mecha, today fifteenth in the table, with 15 points out of 36 possible.

It is worth remembering that although Juan Carlos Osorio has been in the eye of the hurricane since last semester, so much as to have to be accompanied to the dressing rooms by members of Esmad due to threats in some matches, he was not dismissed because of the alleged settlement of compensation in case of dismissal, which would be $2.8 billion, according to unofficial sources. That is why, precisely, the cost that the team may entail its passage to the side is being negotiated.

The decision would go through the nonconformity of Tulio Gómez evident in the trills of a little more than a week ago directed towards the coach. “God gives us the tools to achieve victory, but those who think they are wise do not know how to use them,” wrote the leader, who later added: “The bad worker blames the tool, because the mediocre do not accept their own mistakes and blame others for their inability.”

Osorio, who has always been reluctant to leave America from Cali earlier than contractually agreed, left open the possibility of leaving office if the leadership so requires. After the game against Tolima, at a press conference, he commented.

The next game of the Red Devils, with or without Osorio, will be on Sunday, April 3 against Millonarios, at the Olympic Stadium Pascual Guerrero.
