A total of 21 national teams have already taken out their ticket for the next World Cup that will take place between November and December in Qatar. The host, who will go to Group A, was the first to confirm presence. While for Asia, Iran, South Korea, Japan and Saudi Arabia were the qualifiers (United Arab Emirates and Australia, third in each area, will clash on June 7 in Doha for the pass to the playoff against the fifth in South America).

Conmebol will have an electrifying definition for fifth place today. Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador and Uruguay (the latter two buckled their passage last Thursday) are already in the group stage. It remains to define the country that will compete in the international repechage against the Arab Emirates or Australia: the candidates are Peru, Colombia and Chile.

Today there will be a definition in the European Qualifier: Poland and Sweden will compete for a place in the World Cup, while Portugal will be the favorite against Macedonia, which comes from striking the blow by eliminating Italy in the previous phase. It is worth mentioning that FIFA postponed until June the meeting between Scotland and Ukraine because of the war that Russia started on Ukrainian soil. The winner of that key will face Wales for another direct spot in the group round of the World Cup. Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Croatia, England and Germany are already inside UEFA.

Africa vibrates big with five commitments from which the five representatives of the continent will emerge at the World Cup event. The first place was Ghana, which drew 1-1 with Nigeria as a visitor and triumphed by the away goal difference (the first leg was 0-0). In addition, Senegal and Egypt compete for overtime, Algeria-Cameroon (1-0), Morocco-DR Congo (1-1) and Tunisia-Mali (1-0) are the proposals of the day.

In other words, seven more qualifiers for the Qatar World Cup will be defined today, waiting for the last European (Scotland, Ukraine or Wales), the playoff between South America (Peru, Colombia or Peru) and Asia (United Arab Emirates and Australia, which competes there despite being from Oceania).

Tomorrow, two CONCACAF teams will seal their qualification directly to accompany Canada: the United States and Mexico are close, while Costa Rica needs a miracle to avoid the playoff with a cast from Oceania (tomorrow in Qatar, Solomon Islands and New Zealand will be measured by qualifying for the repechage to be held in June).
