This is the “Oscar” for which Xóchitl Gálvez nominated Manuel Bartlett, director of the CFE

This Sunday, March 27, the Oscars was held, where the best Hollywood cinema awards the best films, actors, directors, editors and photographers in the industry; however, Xóchitl Gálvez did not miss the opportunity to make a “nomination” to mock a high-profile official of the 4T.

Through social networks, the president of the Committee on Indigenous Affairs in the Senate of the Republic published a meme inferring the alleged heritage that does not correspond to the income of Manuel Bartlett, director general of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).

And it is that Gálvez Ruiz “awarded” Bartlett Díaz as the “Best Supporting Actor... of Properties”, this in a marked irony about the alleged properties of the public servant that cannot be explained by his salary throughout his career in the political life of Mexico.

The role played by the National Action Party (PAN) senator since President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) came to power is noteworthy, since the legislator has spoken out against many State decisions in relation to the energy sector: from the appointment of Bartlett Díaz to the Reform Electric that will be discussed in committees of the Chamber of Deputies on Monday, March 28.

In addition to this, Xóchitl Gálvez has also spoken strongly against various political situations involved in the so-called 4Q, such as the role of Alejandro Gertz Manero in the face of alleged interference with the judiciary and, particularly, in the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), following the dissemination of audios whose method of obtaining is still unknown.

“It is unacceptable that the head of the FGR, Alejandro Gertz Manero, should come to the Senate of the Republic tomorrow to appear only before a small group of senators. We all voted for it and we deserve to be brought before the plenary. What are they afraid of? do not take him out”, Gálvez Ruiz posted on his official Twitter account in the run-up to the public prosecutor's appearance.

In another recent issue that the senator of albiazul again criticized was against the Mayan Train, one of President López Obrador's megaprojects, which will connect five states in southern Mexico (Yucatan, Quintana Roo, Campeche, Chiapas and Tabasco).

At a press conference held on March 25, the senator indicated that, according to the National Fund for the Promotion of Tourism (Fonatur), the original line did not include the unnecessary cutting, removal and transplantation of more than 20,000 trees that were located on federal highway 307 Cancún-Tulum.

For this reason, he declared that Rogelio Jiménez Pons, who served as general director of Fonatur and responsible for the Maya Train project, must inform the Senate of the Republic, among other things, the reasons why it was decided to cut down more than 20,000 trees, without such actions being authorized.

Under this criticism, he asked the current director of Fonatur and in charge of the work, Javier May, to provide the name of who was in charge of the decision to change the route of the project. In addition to requesting information on which natural or legal persons were hired to carry out the logging or removal and transplantation.

He also asked for the technical support to make the decision; on what dates the modification was carried out, and which natural or legal persons were responsible for carrying out the technical work and asked to know the estimates approved and paid for the logging work or the alleged removal and transplantation work.
