On YouTube there are several videos from news media and content creators reporting on the regrettable event. The lifeless body of the famous musician was found in a hotel located north of Bogotá. He was in the capital of Colombia to perform at the Estéreo Picnic Festival.

According to Revista Semana, in the hotel where the band was staying there was a group of judicial police and forensics of legal medicine doing the respective lifting of the body, cordoning off the place. Little by little fans of the band arrived around the hotel to face-to-face what was happening.
On the official account of the band, the members of the group published a statement asking for respect for the family's privacy and expressing that they were devastated by the news.

The cause of the drummer's death is not yet known with certainty, although there was a precedent in 2001, as the drummer of the band led by Dave Grohl had been in a coma due to a heroin overdose. According to the musician himself, he was clean since the incident.
