After in 2021, multiple allegations of sexual abuse emerged against Diego Puerta, composer and vocalist of Dromendarios Mágicos, the famous man broke the silence.
It was through the official account of the musician, that the performer of songs such as Los buenos tiempos or No se perse indicated from a statement his position on the accusations.
“Today, March 22, 2022, I Diego Puerta accept in front of you what I myself accepted towards me for years ago: I have been wrong and I have hurt people in the process. My hurtful words, my arrogant attitudes, my arrogance, my toxicity and, of course, my addictions, harmed not only the people who have spoken out against me in various ways on social networks, but also those I loved the most and irresponsibly pushed away,” he began.
In this regard, the singer deepened that for some time he began his recovery process and is currently not using drugs or alcohol.
“I have been sober for more than 2 years working on myself and picking up the pieces of all the valuable relationships that were broken in the process. I feel deep pain and regret for all those times that my immature attitudes emotionally, verbally or psychologically assaulted anyone,” he added.

However, Diego Puerta later changed the tone of the message and pointed out that those who made the accusations against him “especially illegal ones” were wrong.
“I know perfectly well that I was wrong, but I also know perfectly well who I am, what I have done and what I haven't. For my part, I just have to tell you that my process continues through honest work, through actions to redeem myself and through the affection and support of those who, despite everything, remain by my side,” he said.
Puerta said he acknowledged taking actions he was not proud of, but stressed that life was a process and he was currently working on himself to change. In this way he extended apologies to people who were offended and assaulted by him.
The singer of Magic Dromedaries added that this was a difficult and exhausting situation for him, but he remarked that change is in oneself.

“Nothing justifies the mistakes made, but hatred will never be the answer to problems. The problems are fixed from the inside step by step”, he concluded.
Given this, Chumel Torres was one of those who commented on the publication and expressed his support for the composer: “There is a lot of wisdom in changing the course. Here we are carnalito.”
While comedian Ricardo O'Farril also noted: “I have only known Diego sober and rehabilitated for years.”
It was in November 2021, when Twitter user @ratalia666 asked that the band's music be stopped being consumed, because Diego Puerta had abused not only her, but many other women.
The young woman shared from her account some anonymous testimonies where netizens pointed out that Puerta forcibly kissed them, forced them to have sex or drugged them without their consent.

“He hinted at me since I was a minor”, “on several occasions he tried to kiss me and I would remove myself”, “He drugged me by putting a finger in my mouth and rubbed it on my gums and it turned out that I had cocaine” were some of the allegations that were made public at that time.
So, now that the singer made the statement public, user @ratalia666 was disgusted by the comments he made.
“You apologize because we denounce you and it's affecting you in your career, NOT BECAUSE YOU REALLY FEEL IT. Almost 9 years of your crap and you've never given me your face? Go to the verg*. For many years I gave you the benefit of the doubt, I wanted to believe that if you loved me and that nothing was with bad intention. It took a lot for me to release you as a couple and as a friend, but it's not fair that there are so many testimonies,” he said.
