The Qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup are close to ending and the Conmebol qualifiers for the World Cup will be known, let's remember that Brazil and Argentina are already qualified, so now the dispute is for three places, one of them in the playoff. The Colombia National Team is not going through its best moment, it arrives with many concerns to the party and the confidence on the part of the people about the work that Reinaldo Rueda has been doing is not the best.

In the first match, Colombia will face Bolivia in Barranquilla. Those led by Cesar Farías are already in the country and they arrive with great enthusiasm as they have mathematical options of being able to take the place of the repechage. The national team landed on the morning of this Wednesday, March 23, with a team made up of several youth players and with the enormous absence of Marcelo Martins, their top figure and scorer in the qualifiers with 10 goals.

Qualifying for the World Cup is something that Bolivians have been dreaming of for many since the last time they participated in a world championship was in USA 94′ where they were in the last position of Group C below Germany, Spain and South Korea. Bolivia is currently eighth in the standings with 15 points and hopes to be able to surprise on this date by beating the Colombian National Team for the first time in Barranquilla.

In the team, despite the fact that there are some great absentees, stands out the team's '10′, Ramiro Vaca, who would be in charge of commanding the Bolivian attack on Metropolitan Roberto Meléndez in the city of Barranquilla. Colombia, for its part, must be careful when attacking, since a counterattack could be forceful as what happened against Peru.

Cesar Farías, on the other hand, referred, in an interview with El Tiempo, about what the match will be in “a difficult scenario” and especially considering that they are facing a rival “in great need” and who needs the three points to keep alive the options to qualify for the World Cup. “We are not going to give anything away” and “we are going with the conviction that we can make a great match”.

The coach of the Bolivian national team stated that, “playing against Colombia and Brazil will always be a motivation, with players who are in the main leagues of the world, that is already a natural motivation. Then, the adrenaline of playing a knockout match, in a tough square like Barranquilla. We know that we are going to face something very hard.”

And he added in the same interview for El Tiempo that, “In the tie there is no truce. When I was in Venezuela, I had to face Marcelo Martins and do it at the height, that creates a difficulty. Then we beat Bolivia tight at home. Then you had Colombia and you had Falcao, Jackson Martínez, Teo, and then Chile came with Alexis Sánchez, Vargas, the Suazo 'Pacifier', then Argentina came with Higuain, Messi... You have no truce.”
