Vigo (Spain), 20 Mar Argentinian Eduardo “Chacho” Coudet, coach of Celta de Vigo, justified the lack of minutes for Mexican international Orbelín Pineda, due to his lack of adaptation to Spanish football and stressed that he “still has to grow”. Pineda, signed in the European winter market and with a contract until 2027, is not having the presence in the Celta game that was expected. He has not reached an hour of play in total, which has even taken him away from the decisive matches of the octagonal final of CONCACAF towards the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. This Sunday, against Betis of Chilean Manuel Pellegrini, he entered in the 85th minute, replacing Fran Beltrán. Coudet later justified in a press conference the little contribution to the Mexican international team. “I'm not saying he's bad or he's not going to play, but he has to grow up, adapt to football here. He is a boy who has a spark, who has an arrival, he is not a denial, but he still has to grow up. We are a physical team without having physical players,” he said. In this regard, he recalled what happened with his compatriot, the Argentinean Franco Cervi, who also found it difficult to enter the eleven: “Everyone has the same possibilities but we are going to take this to time. Cervi did not play until he was well, and his case is the same. It's time and work.” CHIEF 1010153 dmg/og
