Nintendo celebrates Kirby's 30th anniversary with a free online concert for all its fans

The Japanese company is preparing to celebrate the iconic character's birthday locally and internationally

The video game Kirby's Dream Land is 30 years old since its release in 1992 and its mother company Nintendo decided to celebrate the milestone with an online recital for fans around the world to enjoy it.

Kirby's 30th Anniversary Music Fest will be broadcast live on August 11 at 5 AM (Argentina time) and will be accessible through the mascot's official YouTube channel.

As part of the show, you can expect nostalgic songs from Kirby's video games while special sequences of the different levels will be played that guarantee a journey through the story of the famous character.

To add to the expectation, Nintendo posted on its social networks the instrumental introduction of the concert dedicated to Kirby for its 25th anniversary, which was performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.

“To commemorate Kirby's 30th anniversary, a once-in-a-lifetime event will be presented in the style of a great big band with more than 35 live musicians performing a wide variety of genres. The event will be a musical broadcast in which you can enjoy original medleys of songs from past titles”, they describe from the official website.

A face-to-face event will also be held at the Tokyo Garden Theater and dedicated Kirby-themed venues located in the Tokyo Skytree, the impressive skyscraper that became the tallest man-made structure in the country since 2010.

In addition to several extra surprises, the locals have the sale of special burgers with the aesthetic imaginary of rosé, salads in the shape of their iconic enemies and desserts that represent the different scenarios of the video game.

Kirby's next appearance will be on March 25 in Kirby's and the Forgotten, an exclusive video game for Nintendo Switch.
