In the last session, the US dollar traded at 103 gourdes at close, a decrease of 0.96% compared to the previous day's figure of 104 gourdes.
If we consider the data for the past seven days, the US dollar marks a decline of 1.84%; but in year-on-year terms it still maintains a rise of 14.95%. Comparing this figure with that of previous days, it reversed the price of the previous day, where it obtained an increase of 1.56%, showing that it is unable to set a stable trend in recent days. The volatility for the last week was lower than that accumulated in the last year, so we can say that it is going through a period of greater stability recently.
In the annual photo, the US dollar was paid at a high of 105.64 gourdes, while its lowest level was 97.87 gourdes. The US dollar is closer to its maximum than its low.
The Haitian
gourde La gourde (translated as “fat”) is the currency of official use in Haiti and is abbreviated as HGT, it is also divided into 100 cents and its circulation is regulated by the Bank of the Republic of Haiti.
Although its name comes from French, its origin alludes to the Spanish currency called “gordos”; some citizens also call it “goud”, so that it sounds similar to the English word “mood”.
