Torino claim draw vs The Old Lady: 2-2 at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino

Disappointment on both sides as Torino and Juve see out a 2-2 draw

Torino were held to 2-2 draw by Juve down on Saturday at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Torino were hoping to get something from this game after losing their last game 1-0 to Sampdoria while Juve lost 1-0 in the last match they played against Benevento. As the table looks today, Torino and Juve currently occupy 17th and 4th spots in the table, with 24 points and 56 points respectively after 29 matches.

The Old Lady started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to Federico Chiesa finding the net, 13 minutes in. However, their lead didn't last for long, Antonio Sanabria producing an equaliser, 27 minutes in, bringing Torino level. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a second effort from Antonio Sanabria just before half-time. The score at half time was 2-1.

Juve took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Cristiano Ronaldo in the 79th minute, leaving the final score at 2-2.

Torino brought on Sasa Lukic, Simone Zaza and Daniele Baselli for Tomas Rincon, Andrea Belotti and Simone Verdi. Juve brought on Federico Bernardeschi, Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot, to replace Dejan Kulusevski, Danilo and Alex Sandro.

There were bookings for Cristian Ansaldi, Tomas Rincon, Antonio Sanabria and Rolando Mandragora from Torino. For Juve, Juan Cuadrado and Federico Bernardeschi saw yellow.

Torino will play away against Udinese, while Juve will face Genoa at home.
