Most complete and widespread TV coverage ever for unique EuroBasket

EuroBasket 2015 is set to be the biggest edition in the competition’s history, with the action taking place in five cities across four countries. The broadcast coverage of the event will be the most complete and widespread ever.

EuroBasket 2015 is set to be the biggest edition in the competition’s history, with the action taking place in five cities across four countries. As a result of this, the broadcast coverage of the event will be the most complete and widespread ever.

Europe’s flagship basketball competition takes place from 5-20 September. Berlin, Montpellier, Riga and Zagreb host the Group Phase, before the Final Phase takes centre stage in Lille.

The significance and commercial value of EuroBasket within the continent is underlined by a number of unprecedented agreements with some of the biggest broadcasters.

GERMANY - ARD/ZDF

One of the four host countries will have ARD and ZDF provide extensive coverage of the championship showing the German team games. In addition, Deutsche Telekom will complement the offering of EuroBasket by covering one top game every day on their TELEKOM BASKETBALL platform.

FRANCE - DEDICATED CHANNEL ON CANAL+

The only country to host both Group Phase and Final Phase action has Canal+ providing in-depth coverage throughout the championship on Basket+, a channel created specifically for the occasion. All of France’s games as well two others will air live every day of the Group Phase. In the Final Phase, it will broadcast three of the eight Round of 16 games and the three Classification 5-8 Games.

ITALY - STRONG SKY ITALIA PROMOTION

Sky Italia will broadcast 52 games live, featuring pre-game, post-game and half-time studio shows as well as daily highlights on Sky Sport 3 HD. Additionally, Sky Sport 24 HD will provide daily coverage in order to guarantee round-the-clock updates.

GREECE - 79 GAMES ON ANTENNA AND OTE

Antenna and OTE will combine to show every single one of the 79 games as well as carrying daily highlight shows.

POLAND - BLANKET COVERAGE ON TVP AND ELEVEN

Basketball will get unprecedented visibility in the country. Public broadcaster TVP will show a total of 18 games, mainly focusing on Poland’s campaign. With access to all games of the tournament, the newly-launched Eleven Sports Networks will provide blanket coverage of the entire championship.

The growing interest in EuroBasket has also reached new heights outside of Europe.

COVERAGE IN CHINA, USA, AFRICA AND MIDDLE EAST

Le TV, a Chinese entertainment company and the largest online video company in China, will have access to all of the games and provide blanket coverage of the entire event.

American broadcasters ESPN and NBA TV, between them, will air all of the games in the United States, while SuperSport will show a selection of games on a daily basis on the African continent and beIN Sports will provide very strong exposure in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region.

DIGITAL PLATFORMS

LiveBasketball.TV will air all games globally, with VOD (highlights of every game, daily top plays etc.) available on FIBA’s YouTube channel.
