She did not mention anything about the arrest but said she will “share the facts in due time.”

This is not Solo’s first time being in trouble. She was arrested and charged with two misdemeanor counts of assault in the fourth degree on June 21, 2014. The city of Kirkland, Washington dismissed all domestic violence charges against her on May 24, 2018.

In January 2015, she was suspended for 30 days from the USWNT after her husband Jerramy Stevens was arrested and charged with driving a U.S. Soccer team van under the influence. Solo also called the Swedish national team “cowards” after Sweden beat the U.S. in the quarterfinals of the Rio 2016 Summer Games. She was suspended from the team for six months, and subsequently released from her contract with the USWNT.
She is one of the most decorated soccer players, male or female, in U.S. history with 202 caps, 153 wins and 102 shutouts. She was on the Olympic gold medal winning team in Beijing 2008 and London 2012, and also won the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015.
