Women’s Rugby World Cup 2010 kicks off on Friday, August 20 in London and organisers have announced that the tournament will enjoy record broadcast coverage.
Women’s Rugby World Cup will be screened live by Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland showing a record 13 matches as the action happens including the semi finals and final at The Twickenham Stoop on Wednesday 1 and Sunday, September 5 respectively.
Alex Payne will host the coverage for Sky Sports, with analysis provided by Will Greenwood and Tyrone Howe. Will Chignell, Johnnie Hammond and Martin Gillingham will provide commentary with Melissa Platt and Gail Davis reporting pitch side.
In addition to the host broadcaster, broadcasters from five continents including North America, Europe, Oceania, the Middle East and Africa have also committed to show live matches in their territory.

The IRB's broadcast managers, Pro-Active Television, have secured more broadcasters than ever before for a Women’s Rugby World Cup. TV production company 78Seventy Broadcast have been appointed by the IRB to provide extensive highlights, news coverage and feature content for broadcasters and www.rwcwomens.com.
The IRB will provide a full News Service via the official tournament website www.rwcwomens.com, including news and features, player interviews, match reports, fixtures, results, statistics and rights-free video, audio and photographs. Following each match day, highlights will also be available on demand for free.
www.rwcwomens.com will also be streaming all 13 matches live and on demand for free including three in each pool round starting with Wales v Australia, New Zealand v South Africa and England v Ireland at Surrey Sports Park on Match Day One. For the UK and Ireland, matches will be exclusively streamed live on Skysports.com only.
