The Russian International Olympic University (RIOU) will launch its Master of Sport Administration (MSA) course at Russia.Park in Perks Field, Kensington Gardens on Monday, 30 July 2012 – Day 4 of London 2012 – and registration for this free event remains open for interested delegates: www.riou-msa-launch.com.

Perks Field, in the northwest corner of Kensington Gardens, will become "Russia.Park" during the 2012 Olympic Games. The Park will incorporate a rich array of Russian cultural experiences into the great British summer, hosting performers from every corner of Russia, traditional arts and regional cuisines, as well as family-friendly picnic zones. This impressive venue, which will host RIOU’s launch in its conference centre, will be open from 26 July until 12 August 2012. More information about Russia.Park can be found on the venue’s own website: www.russiasochipark.com.

The CEO of RIOU, Professor Lev Belousov, said of the location: "We are delighted that RIOU has the opportunity to launch its inaugural MSA course at what will become the heart of Russian culture throughout the Games. Russia.Park is such an exciting prospect in itself and is the ideal location for RIOU to launch the course: delegates will experience the Russian International Olympic University and witness the VIP panel discussion, involving some of the best business and sporting expertise in Russia, all whilst immersed in all that the Park has to offer."

The invited panellists for the discussion (many of whom have already confirmed) include President of the Russian Olympic Committee, Alexander Zhukov; Sochi 2014 Organising Committee President and CEO, Dmitry Chernyshenko; leading Russian businessman and Chairman of RIOU’s Supervisory Board, Vladimir Potanin; IIHF President and IOC member, René Fasel; the UK Minister of State for Universities and Science, David Willetts; Podium Chairman, Geoff Petts; and Russian MP and Olympic champion, Svetlana Zhurova.

Dmitry Chernyshenko commented: "The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games are the ideal occasion for RIOU to launch their new MSA course, because of both the university’s relationship with the Olympic Movement as well as its prioritisation of Olympic values in each of its modules. Another of RIOU’s priorities is to involve people of all ages in the preparation for Russia’s own Sochi Olympic Winter Games which will take place in 2014, a commitment which will be reaffirmed at the MSA course launch, and supported by all those on the panel."
