(ATR) The Tokyo Games are nearly four years away, but Panasonic has already launched a new video series entitled "Beautiful Japan towards 2020."

Each video will feature local youth athletes as they prepare for the upcoming Games. A total of 47 videos are set to be produced for the series.

Clips have been released on the Panasonic website. One of the videos show disabled track and field athletes training with prosthesis technicians.

"Everyday I take a step beyond the day before" one athlete in the video says."Today I am stronger than what I use to be"

The entire series will be completed before the 2020 Games.

Ford Sponsors Ontario’s 1st Curling Event

For the first time, a World Curling Federation championship will be held in Ontario, Canada.

The World Women’s Curling Championship will take place in the North Bay, Ontario on Mar. 17-25 2018. This will be the 23rd year Ford Canada has acted as a title sponsor of the World Curling Championships.

"North Bay is curling country, so I know the 2018 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship is going to do very well; not just with the people, but also with the entire Northern Ontario region," Peter Inch, Chair of Curling Canada’s Board of Governors,said in a statement.

"Working collaboratively with our friends at the World Curling Federation, I have every confidence that North Bay’s curling community and its amazing volunteers will put on a spectacular show."

NOC*NSF Suffer Huge Sponsorship Loss

Rabobank and the Dutch Lottery are all that remain of NOC*NSFs' big sponsorship's.

The health insurance group Zilveren Kruis, the temporary employment agency Randstad, accountants group EY and Volkswagen have all discontinued their contracts. Each have been a sponsor to the Olympic Committee for over 10 years.

The 15 year sponsorship with Volkswagen was cut short due to the IOC's exclusive deal with Toyota.

Toyota has been included to the Olympic program as a TOP sponsor until 2024 in a new mobility category.

USA Luge Sponsor Returns

USA Luge officials say World Financial Group, Inc. continuing its sponsorship brings athletesone step closer to reaching podium in PyeongChang.

WFG acted as a USA Luge sponsor from 2007-2014 and will continue it's sponsorship from 2016 -2018.

For the next two years the WFG logo will be featured on all USA Luge attire as well as promotional materials. As a part of their agreement, Team USA Luge athletes will also be featured at WFG's annual convention.

"[WFG's] partnership was valued in its first iteration,"Gordy Sheer, USA Luge Director of Marketing and Sponsorships,said in a statement.

"Their contribution will have a direct impact on our athletes' training and performances as we strive to reach the podium again in South Korea"

Final Straw for Samsung Galaxy Note: UPDATE

In an initiative to permanently end the use of Galaxy Note 7 phones, Samsung has launched an update that prevents the device from charging.

According to a report from The Verge, internet and calling access on Note 7 devises have been disabled. Samsung has also issued an alert reminding users of the recall each time phone is turned on.

TOP Olympic sponsor Samsung recalled its new smartphone after dozens of reports of the devices exploding or catching fire.

More than 85 percent of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones under recall have been exchanged and/or recovered in the United States.

By preventing the phone from charging, Samsung takes the final step to making the phone entirely unusable.
