An additional agreement to the memorandum on the guaranteed level of tariffs on taxi services during the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019 was signed in the Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Ministry on 27 March.
In line with the agreement cars of the taxi service operators, which have signed the memorandum and have promised not to raise prices for their services, including services rendered via mobile apps, from 15 June through 5 July 2019 will bear a special logo.
Apart from allowing passengers to identify affordable taxi cars the logo will allow the Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Ministry to respond to complaints about violations of the memorandum. The list of taxi services, which have signed the memorandum and guarantee passenger transportation in line with the specified terms, is available on the Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Ministry website.
The list now includes 15 major taxi companies. The ministry's press service reminded that any taxi company can sign the memorandum before the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019 begin.
The memorandum was signed by the Belarusian Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Ministry, the Transport and Communications Ministry, and the Minsk City Executive Committee as well as representatives of Minsk's largest taxi companies on 2 November 2018. In line with the memorandum on 15 June – 5 July 2019 taxi service prices, including prices for taxi services available via mobile apps, will not exceed the price, which will be in effect in Minsk on 1 April 2019.
