A difficult time is facing content creator Erika Nieto Márquez, better known as Kika Nieto, who since Wednesday afternoon has been facing a Russian hacker who has taken away access to two of her three YouTube channels. Currently, it seems that the influencer lost the battle, as both channels were removed from the video platform.

On the afternoon of April 20, Nieto alerted his 4.3 million 'pinguis' - a name he has given to his followers on the networks - through his Instagram account about the hack. “They hacked me two of my channels, 'Daughter of the Owner' and 'Kika Nieto'... I was a sea of nerves, I hyperventilated, I was blurry, it was horrible”, began the story of the woman who is also an entrepreneur.

She stressed that the problem impacted her and her entire team of collaborators, who were alerted to see that something related to a cryptocurrency was being broadcast live from her main channel - which had almost 8 million subscribers - something related to a cryptocurrency. In addition, they had changed the name and images of the entire channel. This is clearly no small problem for women, since their source of work and income is in the content they publish on the networks.

She noted that, even though all that was happening on her main channel, she still had access to it, so she decided to change the password and return the account to normal. “We found out that he is a Russian hacker, he entered my account, removed my videos, posted videos of him and live-streamed a video about cryptocurrencies. He did what he wanted.

The channel appeared as Ethereum, but she managed to bring everything back to normal; however, “I don't know if he still has access,” the woman stressed.

Indeed, the hacker was still running Kika Nieto's two channels and, hours later, the influencer reappeared on her Instagram stories to announce that she had already lost one of her channels. The first channel to disappear was 'Daughter of the Owner', which had just over two million subscribers. “Penguis have already taken away the Daughter of the Owner channel from me, it no longer exists. I enter from my administrator and nothing appears”, was the influencer's first alert.

In the early morning of this Thursday, the situation worsened, as his channel with the most impact on YouTube was also deleted. “It's two o'clock in the morning pingüis and they just eliminated my main channel,” La Bogotana published.

Kika Nieto fell victim to hackers and they deleted her YouTube channel

Already on Thursday morning Nieto confirmed that he received an email stating that both channels were deleted from the platform “permanently and irreversibly”. He added that with his team they are doing their best to recover both accounts.

However, the woman sent a positive message to her followers, highlighting that if the situation could not be solved, she would start from scratch and continue to make content on that and her other networks.

Despite the bad timing, the woman retains her other networks, such as Instagram, TikTok and Twitter; but in addition to that she continues to stand with an event that she has scheduled for this Friday, April 22. The meeting with his followers will be held in a hotel in Bogotá and there he will officially present the new products of his hair care brand 6:21, an undertaking that he started this year and with which he has already arrived in Mexico.
