Last Monday, April 11, Freddy Rincón, who was one of the greatest figures in Colombian sports after his role in the Colombian football team, suffered a severe accident after the van he was riding in crossed a red light and collided with a bus of MÍO in the capital of Valle del Cauca.
Rincón was immediately transferred to a healthcare center where he received medical attention, underwent the corresponding examinations and underwent surgery for severe head trauma and was later referred to an Intensive Care Unit — ICU, where he remains under a reserved prognosis due to the severity of the injuries he suffered.
Recently, through social networks, his son Sebastián Rincón shared an emotional video through his' InstaStories', in which the legend of the Italia 90 world cup is seen singing the song 'As friends, as lovers' by Rafu Warner.
However, it is unknown whether the Colombian football star was caught moments before the accident he suffered and that he is currently under medical care in a clinic in Valle del Cauca.
Likewise, the son of the sports idol has remained quite active through the different social networks, where he has taken the opportunity to share with the footballer's followers, who send him all kinds of messages wishing his dad a speedy recovery.

Other glories of the football show that shared some messages for the mixed flyer were Fautino 'El Tino' Asprilla, who was very sad and confused by the situation his former teammate is experiencing.
“Very sad, very confused because Freddy always spent a lot of time with me, especially at Christmas and on birthdays. He never failed me,” said Tino, who also mentioned that 'The colossus of Bonaventure was always like a brother to him.
The same was pointed out by Victor Hugo Aristizábal, who mentioned that those who managed to classify the world championships in the 90 are like a family, so the news about Freddy's state of health is not easy to assimilate and took him by surprise.
“It's not good night. This news has us devastated and more of us who have been like brothers, because no friendship. From 90 to here we made a big family and we talked a lot to each other. He is our brother and we are waiting for any good news (...) He has been a great man and a great person, we know him.”
Another of those who expressed his bewilderment on social media was the captain of the Colombia team, Radamel Falcao García, who sent a greeting to the relatives of the Colossus of Buenaventura and asked to speak prayers for his speedy recovery.
“My prayers and a hug to the family and friends of Freddy Rincón in these hard times. A lot of strength for him at this time of struggle for his life,” wrote El Tigre on his Twitter account.
One of his great friends, Leonel Álvarez, could not hold back his tears when he found out what happened.
“It's hard because I had him for many years as a roommate. We shared a lot and it's an immense pain,” said the current coach of Rionegro Águilas.
