This Thursday, April 14, Roberto Martínez surprised more than one by remembering his marriage to Gisela Valcárcel, which took place in June 1995 at a wedding that was televised. However, after three years, the relationship they had fell apart and they decided to announce their breakup.
It all started when drivers Rodrigo González and Gigi Mitre were commenting on a report that her program had submitted about an interview Ethel Pozo in which she revealed her dislike for the former footballer after the infidelity he did to his mother.
In the middle of his comments, the idol of Universitario de Deportes linked in a call to the Willax TV magazine and talked about his former relationship with the popular 'Señito'. The former player acknowledged that he was to blame for his separation and that he regrets to this day.
“I regret it to this day, I better recognize that marriage to Gisela is a topic that could have been something completely different and I assume that it was the culprit of the separation,” said Roberto Martinez.
Let's remember that it was the owner of GV Producciones who confessed that, after learning about Martínez's infidelity with model Viviana Rivasplata, she threw him out of the house they shared and pointed out that it was one of the greatest pains he felt at that time in his life.
At another time, he pointed out that one of the big problems he had with Gisela Valcárcel was the overexposure of their relationship. Although there were no social networks at that time, the presenter was very media and most of her things were on television.
“The beginning of the problem was to share many things with the public and I was very involved in the subject of television, it was our marriage with people, we shared everything with people even the way we sleep (...) I think we could have been a successful marriage and I take full responsibility,” Martinez added.
It should be noted that Roberto Martinez and Gisela Valcárcel smoothed out rough edges after he appeared on the dance floor of his show 'El Gran Show' in 2010 for the first time. Both surprised the public with their good relationship and compatibility.
