The discussion of Jenaro Villamil and Chumel Torres on social networks continues, as Torres now published evidence to show that the president of the Public Broadcasting System of the Mexican State (SPR) knows him, contrary to what the writer hinted at in his account. This is a photograph in which the book The Rebellion of the Audiences appears, opened on a page that has written: “With great affection, Chumel, hoping that you like this reflection and we will continue in our rebellion”.

The message, signed by the Morenista in July 2017, seems to confirm the statements of the host of El Pulso de la República, who in a previous tweet claimed that Villamil sent him his work on several occasions and asked him to promote it.

The content creator took the opportunity to reaffirm his stance against the Fourth Transformation, as he accompanied the snapshot with the comment: “At the request of the public. Jijiji 'our revolution'. What a bear.” In the publication, which already has more than 15 thousand likes and more than 2 thousand retweets, you can already see many memes aimed at Jenaro Villamil and phrases such as:

“Jenaro is going to have to go into exile in Cuba after the tremendous humiliation you gave him”, “They were friends, but Jenaro likes the public ticket!” ; or “That hurt more than the slap of Chris Rock, or that Jada's statements...

It is worth mentioning that user comments responding to Jenaro Villamil's initial tweet in which he asked “Who is Chumel Torres?” they have not stopped appearing either. Many of the Twitter users who followed the discussion asked Villamil to ask his question to Andrés Manuel López Obrador who, they say, knows the youtuber perfectly and even “sends him to investigate”.

The comments regarding the relationship between AMLO and Chumel are due to the fact that the president has responded to his criticism on several occasions during the daily morning conferences. In addition to the fact that, recently, there was speculation that the Morenista was linked to a complaint of political gender violence that the senator filed against the influencer last month.

Chumel Torres also took the viralization of his tweet exchange with Villamil to boast of his acknowledged bad relationship with López Obrador, posting a screenshot showing his name within the trends of the social network, followed by the text: # Y'ora? Did the president say again that he would like me to be his successor?”

Hours before the stir began, the youtuber made several humorous posts regarding the results of the Mandate Revocation Consultation, in one of which he stated that 8 out of 10 Mexicans decided not to participate. Villamil replied with a retweet to a comment that says: “8 out of 10 Chumel neurons decided not to participate in the elaboration of this message.”

Jenaro Villamil is currently in charge of the Public Broadcasting System of the Mexican State and through social networks he constantly shares information supporting presidential initiatives. He is the author of several books, the most recent being The Rebellion of the Audiences, where he analyzes how technological convergence has put the “empire of rating” in check and how the internet has built a hyperconnected world.
