From Cuernavaca, Morelos, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, in the presence of Governor Cuauhtémoc Blanco and the federal security cabinet, reported on the entity's security report. In it, he realized that the state is the sixth highest incidence of intentional homicides per 100,000 inhabitants nationwide.

It was General Luis Cresencio Sandoval, head of the Ministry of National Defense, who presented the data count in the current administration (all information corresponds to the period from December 2018 to February 2022). The references are in relation to investigations collected by the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System.

Despite the speech that Cuauhtémoc Blanco makes about the security work being carried out in the governing demarcation, the reality in terms of official data shows that Morelos is present in the first places in terms of number of investigation kits for high-impact crimes.

“Thanks to the coordination and intelligence operation work with federal institutes in recent months, we have been able to annul and bring to justice important objectives that generate violence in Morelos. With them we show that there are no untouchables and there is no place for impunity,” said the president and former professional footballer.

It is then that in February alone the following data are recorded: four kidnapping events (five in 2022), 214 vehicle thefts (389 in 2022), 67 intentional homicides (144 in 2022), 9 transport robberies (23 in 2022), 127 home robberies (257 in 2022), ten extortions (21 in 2022) and one of human trafficking. The count of impact crimes in the month is 1,313 for an annual total of 2578.
