General Motors received a visit from the Governor of Santa Fe, Omar Perotti, at its facilities in the industrial park that the automobile company has in Alvear on the occasion of the authorization of the company's Medical Service as the Official Vaccination Centre of the province. He was accompanied by the Minister of Production, Production, Science and Technology of the province of Santa Fe, Daniel Costamagna, the Secretary of Industry of Santa Fe, Claudio Mossuz, and the coordinator of the Santa Fe Immunization Program, Soledad Guerrero.

The governor and his delegation were welcomed by Federico Ovejero, vice president of GM Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, and Claudio Vulcano, Director of Manufacturing of GM South America's Industrial Complex in Argentina. The Chevrolet Cruze model (in sedan and 5-door body versions) and the modern turbo engine equipped to these vehicles are produced for Argentina and the region.

“At General Motors, the health and safety of all our employees is a priority in the world. We are fully committed to collaborating in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. That is why we celebrate the fact that our Medical Service has been chosen by the government of the province of Santa Fe as the Official Vaccination Center for the application of the necessary vaccines according to the schedule proposed by the province's Ministry of Health,” said Gabriel Conti, head of GM's Medical Service.

As detailed in a statement, in order to accompany the campaign promoted by the province, and in line with the commitment to ensure the safety of its employees and its entire value chain, as of today, employees of the automobile company will be able to get vaccinated there thanks to the certification of the provincial Ministry of Health. “It is the first terminal that can initiate and/or complete the COVID-19 vaccination schedules of its employees,” they stressed.

“The provincial government had the political decision to decentralize the vaccine and call on companies to be part of the vaccination. It is a transcendental fact, given that the best vaccine is the one that is placed, and this gives greater accessibility”, concluded Guerrero.
