The National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi) will hold this Thursday, March 24, the first auction of the year. Thirty real estate seized property will be auctioned from individuals or companies that did not pay the penalties imposed for infringing the rights of consumers and intellectual property owners.
Houses, apartments, parking lots and land located in the districts of Surco, Pueblo Libre, Chorrillos, San Isidro, Cercado de Lima, Jesús María, La Molina, San Juan de Miraflores, Callao, Carabayllo, Miraflores, among others, will be finished.
For those who are interested in acquiring one of the properties, there is the possibility of finding an apartment from S/289 thousand soles in La Molina, a parking lot from S/55 thousand soles in San Isidro, and more.

REQUIREMENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE AUCTION
There are some basic requirements for citizens who wish to participate in this auction:
- Present DNI (national identity document).
- Have the power of attorney registered with the respective registry office for whoever acts on behalf (natural or legal person).
- Have 10% of the total appraisal value of the property they wish to acquire. It can be by cash, certified cheque or management check payable to Indecopi.
- Attend 20 minutes before the scheduled time for the auction in which you want to participate. You must go to the main headquarters of Indecopi located at Av. Del Aire No. 384 (height of the 15th block of Canada Avenue), San Borja.
BIOSAFETY PROTOCOL
In compliance with the biosafety regulations of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the following will be required:
- Present physical or virtual vaccination card with the three doses of the coronavirus vaccine.
- Mandatory use of the mask.
- Maintain a social distance of at least one meter, in all places of common use.
- Avoid crowds during entry and exit.
- Wash your hands properly with soap and water.
INDECOPI BEGINS SANCTIONING PROCEEDINGS AGAINST GUNS N' ROSES AND KISS CONCERT PROMOTER
On March 18, Indecopi, through the Technical Secretariat of the Consumer Protection Commission No. 3, announced the initiation of a sanctioning administrative procedure against the company One Entertainment, for allegedly infringing the Code of Protection and Defense of Consumer after the cancellation of the concerts in Lima of “Guns n' Roses” and the rescheduling of the event of the band “Kiss”.
Regarding the concert of “Guns n' Roses”, the supplier would have failed to comply with the rule by conditioning the refund of the money for tickets. It would have indicated that this would proceed 45 days after the resumption of mass concerts in the country and provided that users have communicated until January 15, 2021.
On the other hand, regarding the rescheduling of the “Kiss” concert, the company would have violated the Code by not making the option of refunding tickets available to users. They indicated that the event was not canceled, and that, consequently, the tickets remained valid for a new date.
According to article 97 of the standard, when the delivery of a product or the provision of a service is not carried out in due time, consumers have the right to repair or replacement of the product, to a new performance of the service, or to the refund of the amount paid.
