'Monkey chinga' falls, criminal with more than 21 years of experience in the capital of Vallecaucana

He was captured by the Metropolitan Police of Cali alias 'Mono chinga', accused of multiple thefts and homicides, and is also accused of being the leader of the criminal group 'El Hueco', responsible for the microtrafficking of commune six in the capital of Vallecaucana and its surroundings.

According to authorities, the 35-year-old man had started his criminal record from the young age of 14, and had already been in jail for murder.

The commander of the Cali Police, Juan Carlos León told the press: “This is a subject who has been committing crime since he was 14 years old in this area of the city, and now at the age of 35 he was arrested for the crime of murder. 'Monkey Chinga' has notes for threats, concert to commit crime, qualified theft and illegal carrying of weapons and has already been admitted to jail for the crime of homicide.”

Alias 'Monkey Chinga' was captured in the Petecuy I neighborhood, for a homicide he committed last February.

“The arrest warrant was given for the crimes of aggravated homicide and illegal manufacture and carrying of firearms, as well as for a homicide committed on February 15 in the Jarillón sector, due to apparent settling of accounts with another drug dealer,” said Cali Police Commander Juan Carlos León.

According to Commander León, freight transporters were one of the constant victims of thefts or extortions that asked for aliases 'Mono chinga', who also profited from theft to the general community and the sale of drugs near schools.

“In January, commune six was one of the most affected by homicides, so we expanded our effort with increased force in the area, however, homicides continue to occur,” said Cali Police Commander Juan Carlos León.

According to authorities alias 'Mono chinga', he was issued an insurance measure in prison for the crimes of aggravated homicide and the manufacture, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.

In the capital of Valle del Cauca, 1,344 people have been captured, of whom 78 are for homicide and 288 for theft, through police actions.

On more issues of security in Cali, a new incident of violence happened in which football is involved occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, after some Independiente Medellín fans were chased by barristas from Deportivo Cali, who on motorcycles cornered them to the transport terminal of the capital Vallecaucana.

The incident was captured in the videos of the central security cameras of the intermunicipal buses. There, it is evident how the supporters of the Antioquian team rushed through one of the doors of the terminal, while behind them arrive several people mobilizing on motorcycles, who later also entered the terminal.

According to the regional newspaper El País, the influx of the sugar team's fans caused minutes of anguish among the passengers who were there at that time.

When consulted in that media outlet, the general manager of the Cali Transport Terminal, Ivanov Russi, assured that this situation could be repeated, and therefore asked the authorities to intervene immediately.

“This situation seems to be at risk of recurring today and tomorrow, which is why we are making two calls. The first is to the bars of the different teams so that they please keep all their situations and all their conflicts outside the premises, this affects travelers and gives a very bad image to the city. And secondly, we are asking the National Police for a security reinforcement,” said the manager.
