Tonight a building on Avenida Brasil located in the capital district of Magdalena was attended by members of the prosecutor's office. It was an operation that sought to raid an apartment linked to the president's nephews. Pedro Castillo. According to a report by Fourth Power, the president's relatives lived in that home until the last weekend when they suspiciously moved out of the place.

The property would not be in the name of Fray Vasquez Castillo, Gian Marco Castillo and Cledin Vásquez Castillo, but rather to three people who, according to their relatives, would be humble so they could not pay the value of S/2,800 that the rent of the apartment entailed.

From 9:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14, the authorities tried to enter the apartment where the president's nephews would have lived for months, but since there were no inhabitants they had to seal the house. The authorities also dedicated themselves to seizing the images recorded by the security cameras of the condominium where it is possible to see the citizens questioned. A report by América Noticias said they would assist the authorities in the course of their investigation.

Pedro Castillo: Prosecutor's Office raids department of the president's nephews in Magdalena

Prosecutor Luz Taquire Reynoso, head of the Seventh Office of the Second Supraprovincial Corporate Prosecutor's Office Specializing in Money Laundering Crimes, is in charge of the proceedings. In front of this same office, questioned businesswoman Karelim López gave statements in her attempt to become an effective collaborator. The latter would have said that President Pedro Castillo runs a mafia that operates in the MTC, in which his nephews Fray Vasquez Castillo, Rudbel Oblitas Paredes and Gian Marco Castillo Gómez would be involved.

KEY FIGURES

In a recent media appearance, Karelim Lopez's lawyer, Cesar Nakazaki, described the importance of President Castillo's nephews in their environment. They are like the key that opens the access door to the president,” he said at one point in the conversation referring to the means by which some seek to reach Pero Castillo. “Their role is to allow access to the President to have these illicit businesses built, apparently, in the MTC and in the Ministry of Housing,” he added, referring to his client's recent statements about the existence of an alleged mafia of which the president would be part.

She [Karelim López] reports that Samir Villaverde detects this weak point of the family - to call it in some way - and gives them the vans that several media outlets have pointed out,” Nakazaki emphasized, recalling the alleged benefits that the president's nephews obtained by approaching businessman Villaverde.

Here is one of two stories, or is he a president who loves his nephews very much and lets his nephews end up doing big business or is a president who is also involved in business,” added the lawyer whose client seeks to receive the benefits of an effective collaborator in exchange for sharing vital information with the authorities.

Following Lopez's confession, Nakazaki assured that his client had received death threats. “The threats begin to such an extent that, being in full declaration, in an environment enabled by the money laundering coordinator (Rafael Vela), a WhatsApp arrives to Karelim López where they tell him 'we know where you are, we know you are declaring, if you don't shut up right now your children will die, '” he reported.
