Norwich City fell to a home defeat at the hands of Manchester United at Carrow Road on Saturday. Norwich were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. Man U were coming from consecutive wins against Crystal Palace and Arsenal. Following today's result, Norwich are in 20th place, with 10 points from 16 matches, while Man U sit in 5th, with 27 points from 16.

After a goalless first half, Man U continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Cristiano Ronaldo at the 75 minute mark and seeing the game end 1-0.

Norwich brought on Jakob Lungi Sorensen, Todd Cantwell and Pierre Lees-Melou for Grant Hanley, Przemyslaw Placheta and Lukas Rupp. Man U brought on Mason Greenwood, Eric Bailly and Donny Van De Beek, to replace Jadon Sancho, Victor Lindelof and Bruno Fernandes.

There were bookings for Pierre Lees-Melou from Norwich. For Man U, Diogo Dalot saw yellow.

Norwich will play their next fixture at home against Aston Villa, while Man U will face Brentford away.
