(ATR) "Red Army" is not just another sports documentary.

Not for director Gabe Polsky, anyway. The son of Soviet emigrants, he was enraptured as a child by the ice hockey team from the Soviet Union after seeing their "creative capacity" on display during the 1987 Canada Cup.

Polsky explains what drove the Soviets, why the game was more than just a game and what the positive critical reception to the film has meant to him so far.
