(ATR) The Vancouver 2010 flame starts back today on its journey across New Brunswick on Day 29 of the torch relay.
Yesterday, the torch took its first day of rest and stayed in the town of Fredericton, the capitol of the Canadian province of New Brunswick.
Today, the torch relay will leave Fredericton where judo Olympian Fred Blaney will be a torchbearer. The flame will then advance through 14 towns with Taymouth being the first welcome. The flame will then travel through the towns of Boiestown, Doaktown, Blackville, Newcastle, Miramichi, Douglastown, Esgenoopetitj and Neguac where the torch will take a ride in an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
The torch will then continue to the towns of Tracadie-Sheila and then to Shippagan where the flame will be transported on board a large fishing boat to complete a loop in the harbour.
The next stop will be in the town of Caraquet and then on to Grande-Anse where ice hockey Olympian Kathy McCormack will be a torchbearer.
The flame will arrive at its final destination of the day in the town of Bathurst where a welcome celebration is planned at the KC Irving Regional Centre.
Over the weekend, the torch will travel west through New Brunswick and cross into Quebec, the only Canadian province that is predominately French-speaking.
