Miguel Trauco: his presence in France and the possibility of changing teams at the end of the season

Miguel Trauco is one of the players who has been alternating his place in the Peruvian national team, although in difficult matches he started for Ricardo Gareca. However, in Saint-Etienne he lives a different reality, where he is a regular substitute and could be spending his last months in that club.

In this case, journalist Gustavo Peralta announced through his social networks that the defender would be followed by teams from Europe, North America and the Middle East. “Miguel Trauco ends his contract on June 30 with Saint Etienne, where he is already adding minutes and would start the next match. However, the Peruvian full-back is being analyzed by clubs from France, Italy and Saudi Arabia. Mexico and the US are also in orbit,” the communicator said on his Twitter account.

And the fact is that the 29-year-old football player has not been having a good time in France. Since the 2021/2022 season began, the coach of that time, Claude Puel, did not consider it in the first matches. He only played in September in the 2-1 defeat to Bordeaux, a match where he entered with 30 minutes to finish.

He then grabbed title against AS Monaco, but it was also an adverse result of 3 to 1. The same happened against Nice and Olympique de Lyon, but in these cases they only added a draw against 'Los Liones' on October 3rd. Later, he did not start until the match against Troyes. In this match it can be said that it was one of the most outstanding for the Peruvian, because he converted the winning goal with a left-handed shot. He then chained two consecutive titles against PSG and Stade Brestois, whose results also led to defeats.

All these bad outcomes caused the leadership of 'Los Verdes' to take action and fire Puel and put Pascal Dupraz in his place as the new technical director on December 14. However, the situation has not changed much and he has barely accumulated 3 victories (2 for the French Cup against Lyon-La Duchere and against Jura Sud Foot, and in Ligue 1 against Stade Brestois).
