On Tuesday, two new appointments were announced within the federal cabinet of President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO). This is Leonel Cota Montaño, who is now the new general director of Mexican Food Security (Segalmex), a decentralized body formed by Diconsa and Liconsa, belonging to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader). He will replace Ignacio Ovalle Fernández, who in turn was appointed coordinator of the National Institute for Federalism and Municipal Development (Inafed), an instance of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob) itself.
