I am from India, but I have been living in Qatar for 26 years. I have not experienced any difficulties or discrimination. Of course, there are certain customs in every country that any visitor will have to respect. Qatar and its people have changed a lot and are on the progressive path.

As I said before, Qatar is like any other previous World Cup host country. It is one of the safest countries in the world. Nothing prevents a football fan from coming to Qatar enjoying the World Cup.

What places do you recommend visiting in Qatar?

There are several places of interest for fans to visit during their stay during the World Cup. There are some of the best museums in the world here: the Qatar National Museum, then the Museum of Islamic Art and also the Olympic and Sports Museum. A trip to the sand dunes in the deserts in the southern part of the country is a must for any visitor.

How much do you think it will help Qatar as a nation to host the World Cup?

As a country, Qatar is small in size, but they have big dreams and ambitions. The rulers of Qatar, especially in the last 30 years or so, have shown a lot of vision and vision for shaping the country into a modern nation. Members of Qatar's ruling family love sports and are committed to making the country an international sports center.

Over the past decade, Qatar has hosted nearly 500 international events. We must remember that Qatar is the current Asian champion, winning the title in 2019. Qatar had a reasonably good start in the Copa America in 2019 and the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2021, where it reached the semifinals, losing narrowly to the United States. If Qatar can score one win and two draws, it can advance to the Round of 16. I won't be surprised if they make it to the quarterfinals.

Tell me about the gastronomy of Qatar, what dishes do you suggest that tourists try on their visit to their country?

There are all kinds of restaurants in Qatar. You get all kinds of meals. But the specialty of the region is its Arab and Mediterranean dishes. There is also a wide variety of seafood.

There is a lot of talk about the climate in the period of the World Cup, are the temperatures complicated?

During November-December, we will have good weather here in Qatar, which ranges between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. However, almost all World Cup stadiums have a unique cooling technology and the indoor temperature in the stadiums could be maintained at 22 degrees Celsius.

What are your expectations in this world cup?

I hope this World Cup will be one of the best because it is played during the winter. Most of the best players will be in good shape. Qatar 2022 will be one of the most compact World Cups. Players don't need to fly internally and don't need to get in and out of a hotel for every match. All teams can stay at their base hotel from day one until they make their departure. All these advantages should increase the quality of football in this World Cup.

Have you heard of Peru?

Yes, I know that it is a country in South America and has a rich history of football, having played in five World Cups so far. I am aware that this time Peru finished fifth in South America and the team will come to Qatar in June for the repechage game for their entry to the World Cup.

Do you have any favorite teams that win the World Cup?

For almost all football fans, Brazil is the sentimental favorite. But the last time they won the World Cup was in 2002. But at the World Cup in Qatar I hope that Argentina will become the champion. I'd like to see Messi lift the World Cup.

What do you expect Qatar to do in the World Cup?
