Today the Peruvian national team will face the Paraguayan team in a decisive match to reach a place in the repechage of the Qatar 2022 World Cup. For this reason, many fans in the country want to have the opportunity to enter the National Stadium to support La Blanquirroja, but resale ticket prices are reaching extreme limits: some people are finding prices of up to S/3 thousand soles.

A quick search on Facebook can show that a pass to the North or South zones, the cheapest, costs S/ 630 soles. This is 490 soles more than its original price, S/ 140. The same thing is repeated in Mercado Libre under a search with the same terms.

On the other hand, the ticket for the Central West, whose original price is S/950, was offered to a user at S/ 2,900 soles. This represents a difference of more than two minimum salaries compared to the ticket office price: S/ S/ 1950 difference

Resell Peru vs Paraguay tickets

On tiktok, a user toured the outskirts of the National State to find out how much the resellers are selling tickets to. Thus, he was able to find out that the price of popular tickets goes up to S/1,000 soles.

A reseller tried to negotiate with him by leaving the entrance to S/ 750 soles. It is recalled that this is the cheapest ticket, for south and north with an original price of S/140 soles.

The price mapped for the other areas is as follows:

- East lateral resale price: S/ 1,300 - S/ 1,500 | Real price: S/440

- Western lateral resale price: S/ 1,900 | Real price: S/ 690

“We suggest not buying on resale because they may be fake or that they sell them to multiple people. If you didn't reach entry, the ideal is to see it at home,” said Domingo Seminario, director of operations of Joinnus, to the newspaper Gestión.

MILLIONAIRE SALES BY DIGITAL PLATFORMS

The fans swept the tickets to the match and also participated in the draw, demonstrating the fever of the World Cup, which is being experienced in the country. That was the case with the Joinnus platform, which joined with the Peruvian Football Federation, and reported millionaire figures.

The draw was held on March 24 and in total there were 127,255 registered, according to Domingo Seminario. Each person could request one or two tickets for today's match. In this way, more than 127 thousand fans asked for a total of 241,525 tickets. They exceeded the number of tickets available, which was 23,523.

“On March 25, when we started collecting and assigning the winners of the draw, the stadium was filled and everything was sold, Seminario said.

However, once they sold the tickets, they also started reselling on social networks and e-commerce sites.

“All the mechanisms we use (draw and nominative entries) are to reduce resale, but it is impossible to eliminate it because it is not illegal, says Seminario.

The manager explained that, in cases like this, it is not always reseller organizations that are behind the purchase of a large number of tickets; it also happens at the initiative of anyone who wants to do a micro business quickly.
