Mariella Zanetti sympathize with Mónica Cabrejos after confessing that she was sexually abused: “I do believe you, you are not alone”

This past weekend, Mónica Cabrejos broke her silence and talked about rape sexual that he suffered in 2020 from a supposed friend, whom he had known for many years. In an interview with Beto a Saber, the journalist said that she could no longer be silent and recounted the aggression she suffered. However, he did not want to reveal a name, but he did give clues.

Cabrejos indicated that he is a former footballer who is still linked to the world of sports and models. The writer also reported that this man invited her to celebrate her 45th birthday at her home in Asia. “He invited me to spend my birthday at a house in Asia. We went and as a grown woman the first thing I said was: 'Accepting your invitation is not synonymous with me going to sleep with you, '” she said.

In that place, his supposed friend bought him a few drinks, however, from one moment to the next he lost consciousness, when he woke up he realized the horror he had experienced. “I woke up naked, covered, his clothes were under my bed (...) At that moment I knew that he had drugged me (...) He told me 'Who's going to rape you, you're a 45-year-old woman, please. I'm a smurk, I don't want scandals'. He got violent,” said the TV host.

In this interview, Monica indicated that she had decided not to speak because there are many people who don't believe her. “The only way to heal is to say it, regardless of whether they believe me or not. Since it happened to me, I have received doubts and questions, whether I had the responsibility, whether I provoked it or if I am sure it happened, as if a woman at my age could not be sure what happened,” said Cabrejos, who decided to tell about her terrible experience through her book “Public Woman”.

These words fell into the heart of Mariella Zanaetti and Janet Barboza, who were quite mortified and asked other women to be careful. They also indicated that this abuser surely does not commit abuse for the first time, but that it is already a consequential act for him.

Zanetti called it “disgusting” and said: “From here tell Mónica Cabrejos that we stand in solidarity, that I do believe you. I do believe you, many women believe you and you are not alone Monica”, said the former vedette and TV host very loudly.
