The expectation is very high for the holding of this event, which, in its last edition, in 2019, had more than 90,000 attendees. It is estimated that since its first performance approximately 437 thousand people have gone to this show.

Although there are no official figures, more than 100,000 spectators are expected to be part of this edition, which has invested more than 6 million dollars in artists alone, the largest amount in its history.

This is in addition to the innovations that have been implemented, thinking about this post-pandemic stage, for example: it has proposals such as the “cashless” payment method, through a handle that can be recharged at 10 different points of the event, attendees must transfer at least 30,000 pesos, by debit or credit card. The idea is to eliminate cash payments and replace them through NFT, (contactless electronic transfers). If at the end of the event the person has any balance in their favor, they can claim it from March 28 to the first week of April.

Gabriel García, CEO of Páramo Presenta, organizers of the Estéreo Picnic Festival, highlighted the importance of the event. In dialogue with La República, he said: “The FEP is a fundamental part of the South American concert and festival circuit in which the greatest artists of the moment are booked and that gives us credibility as organizers.” He added that 48% of the box office shows that those attendees will go to the event for the first time. “There are new audiences who want to live this experience.”

This is demonstrated by the 410 singers and groups that have performed over the 22 years of their history. Of which 169 have been Colombian artists, while 241 have been foreign bands or singers.

The music that will begin on Friday from 2:30 in the afternoon will be played on 5 stages arranged on the golf course, Briceño 18, in the municipality of Sopó and will end on Monday at 1:30 in the morning.

These figures: “show that the festival's commitment to the best events is still valid, especially now with the return after the pandemic” adds Gabriel García. It should be emphasized that this event is part of the 15 major concerts that have been held and will be held in Bogotá this year 2022.
