After the inauguration of the Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA) on March 21, politicians, academics, journalists and social media users unleashed a long series of criticisms against one of the flagship projects of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's (AMLO) administration.
However, the negative comments towards AIFA were not the only ones that came to the fore, as actor Damián Alcáza r gave a harsh criticism of those who among his statements emphasized street vendors in the vicinity of Felipe Ángeles.
“They exude hatred and classism against our street vendors who are part of Mexico's history. But of course, in the campaign they are put for a position pretending that they are interested in the people. Not only are they racists, they are hypocrites and scoundrels,” wrote the protagonist of Herod's Law, El Infierno, among other films under director Luis Estrada, on his Twitter account.

It is worth mentioning that on several occasions, Alcázar has been in favor of AMLO, its nation project self-described as the Fourth Transformation (Q4) and the party that took it to the National Palace, National Regeneration Movement (Morena).
A video was made viral through social networks showing how a woman was selling tlayudas within the vicinity of AIFA. According to journalist Azucena Uresti, the lack of food stores caused Carmen to be in wide demand from the people who attended the opening of the airport in Saint Lucia.
According to El Universal, 35-year-old Carmen took the initiative to sell this typical food because they gave her permission, a situation that, next to her husband and three children, she took advantage of because to “get a little more out”.

However, in the audiovisual it was possible to see how members of the National Guard (NG) asked the merchant to leave the premises because informal trade is not allowed in the area; however, the woman, while still preparing food, urged the security element to allow her to conclude their service to those who were trained.
However, it was not the only improvised business that surprised the interior of the new airport, because although informal trade is prohibited, some other users shared photographs where people could be seen selling all kinds of merchandise from “souvenirs” ranging from caps, mugs, books, stuffed animals, hats and T-shirts with the image of the Chief Executive.
For her part, political scientist and writer Denise Dresser called for “focusing” on the real criticism of AIFA, since, according to her statements, it is not about classism.

“The central problem of AIFA is not one of tlayudas and classism. Let's focus on what is important: a militarized, unfinished work that does not solve saturation, that does not have international certifications, that does not connect Mx to the world, which was built with irregular and opaque contracts,” Dresser wrote on social networks.
During his morning conference, López Obrador criticized those who prioritized spreading the news of the sale of tlayudas over the perse inauguration of Felipe Ángeles, noting that this reflected the “racism and classism” of the conservative bloc.
“The main note was that a lady was selling tlayudas with a contempt that Mexico, the cultures of our country little know,” she said on her morning this March 22.
