Venezia's 1-0 win over Bologna on Sunday, was hard fought at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara. Both sides arrived on the back of wins. Bologna were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games against Sampdoria away and Cagliari at home, by 2-1 and 2-0 respectively. Venezia, on the other hand, were able to continue their winning streak after a 3-2 win against Roma in their last match. Following today's result, Bologna are in 9th place on the table and has 18 points while Venezia sit in 13th with 15 points after 13 matches.
After a goalless first half, Venezia continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from David Okereke at the 61 minute mark. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 1-0 to Venezia.
For Bologna, Nicola Sansone, Emanuel Vignato, Federico Santander and Nicolas Viola, came on for Musa Barrow, Riccardo Orsolini, Aaron Hickey and Nicolas Dominguez. Venezia brought on Thomas Henry, Tanner Tessmann, Sofian Kiyine, Dor Peretz and Marco Modolo for Dennis Johnsen, Antonio Vacca, Mattia Aramu, David Okereke and Gianluca Busio.
The referee booked Gianluca Busio, Ridgeciano Haps and Sergio Romero for Venezia.
Bologna will next travel to Spezia Calcio, while Venezia will face Internazionale at home.
