Atalanta ease to a comfortable 5-2 win at the Gewiss Stadium. Both teams arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Atalanta were looking to continue their run, following a 2-1 victory against Cagliari. Spezia, on the other hand, were able to continue their winning streak after a 1-0 win against Torino in their last match. As the table looks today, Atalanta and Spezia sit 4th, (25 points) and 16th, (11 points), spots respectively, after 13 matches.

Spezia found the net first, with M'bala Nzola giving Spezia the lead, 11 minutes in. However, they were unable to maintain their lead, Mario Pasalic managed to equalize and take the sides off in the 18th minute at 1-1. Atalanta looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a goal from Duvan Zapata, 38 minutes in to establish a 2-1. The Goddess then scored once more and increased their lead thanks to a 2nd effort from Mario Pasalic just before half-time, finishing the first half 3-1.

Atalanta continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Luis Muriel finding the net after 83 minutes. The Goddess looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a goal from Ruslan Malinovskyi in the 89th minute to establish a 5-1. In the end though, Spezia secured the points emphatically, with a second effort from M'bala Nzola just before the final whistle. The game ended with a 5-2 win for Atalanta.
