Bruce Willis, 67, has been forced to withdraw from acting when diagnosed with aphasia, a brain disease that affects his ability to understand or communicate. Now it became known that the star had been preparing for some time to financially solve its health problems. Friends close to the Hollywood icon revealed that the actor sold several of his properties in recent years.

The beloved actor managed to raise $65 million by selling some of his real estate. A source close to Willis said: “He has been preparing for this moment for a long time. I knew the time would come when his health would deteriorate.”

“In addition, I knew that eventually I wouldn't need multiple properties and that instead I would need to live in a safe environment surrounded by his family. Knowing that he sold most of his properties in recent years, it is clear that he has been preparing to simplify his life for a long time,” the informant added in statements to Page Six.

After a successful career, Willis has accumulated an important asset, which he is already beginning to part with in order to finance his retirement. The actor had everything planned to rest comfortably next to his family in California.

The news about Willis, one of Hollywood's most beloved actors, spread immediately online. Actors such as Sylvester Stallone and John Travolta dedicated emotional words to their partner after learning about his forced retirement from cinema.

“We've known each other a long way, I pray for the best for you and your beautiful family,” Stallone wrote on Instagram. Meanwhile, Travolta shared two photographs and said, “Bruce and I became good friends when we shared two of our greatest successes together, 'Pulp Fiction' and 'Look Who's Talking'.” Afterwards, he recalled a phrase that Bruce Willis said to him a long time ago: “'John, I just want you to know that when something good happens to you, I feel like it's happening to me. ' That's how generous his soul is. I love you, Bruce.”

His four-decade career has generated more than $5 billion at the global box office. Last year he starred in a staggering eight films. Most were released without great fanfare, such as “Cosmic Sin” (“Cosmic Invasion”), “Out of Death” (“No Escape”) and “Deadlock”. Most recently, she starred in “Gasoline Alley” and “A Day to Die”, which premiered in early March. The actor has already shot at least six more films that will be released in 2022 and 2023, including “Die Like Lovers”, “Corrective Measures” and “The Wrong Place”.

The actor's wife, Emma Heming, 43, is going through a very difficult time.

“It's not easy to see your husband in that state,” a source told People magazine, in the words of the former British model.

“Their daughters are very young,” added the source about the couple's daughters, Evelyn, age 7, and Mabel, 10. “Emma has to keep her composure for them.”

The media said that Emma “is working with several professionals to help” her husband and that she has had contact with “the best doctors”.

“He has an assistant at home to make sure he's okay, but Emma takes care of him too,” the source added. “Her diagnosis has been shocking for her.”

The family lives in a $9.8 million mansion in Brentwood Park, Los Angeles, which consists of 7 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, a pool, sauna and all the luxuries

In a statement published on the networks, the actor's family said that Willis was diagnosed with aphasia and that the disease is affecting his cognitive abilities. “As a result of this and with great consideration, Bruce withdraws from the career that has meant so much to him,” says the text signed by Willis's wife, Emma Heming Willis, his ex-wife Demi Moore and their five daughters, Rumer, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel and Evelyn.
