The Foals run riot, scoring 4 without reply at the Borussia Park

On Saturday, Eintracht Frankfurt suffer an away defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach at the Borussia Park. Mönchengladbach arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 2-2 draw with Hertha Berlin in their previous game while Frankfurt were coming from consecutive wins against Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund. After today's result, Mönchengladbach and Frankfurt sit 7th, (43 points) and 4th, (53 points), spots respectively, after 29 matches.

Mönchengladbach started strongly in the first half, with Matthias Ginter opening the rout at the 10 minute mark, finalising the first half 1-0.

The Foals continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Jonas Hofmann, 60 minutes in. The momentum was now with Mönchengladbach, who then scored again through a goal from Ramy Bensebaini in the 67th minute to establish a 3-0. Mönchengladbach then scored once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Hannes Wolf just before the final whistle with a final score of 4-0.

For Mönchengladbach, Breel Embolo, Patrick Herrmann, Hannes Wolf, Oscar Wendt and Rocco Reitz, came on for Erik Durm, Sebastian Rode, Stefan Ilsanker and Daichi Kamada. Frankfurt brought on Amin Younes, Timothy Chandler, Makoto Hasebe and Aymen Barkok, to replace Erik Durm, Sebastian Rode, Stefan Ilsanker and Daichi Kamada.

There were bookings for Ramy Bensebaini and Rocco Reitz from Mönchengladbach. For Frankfurt, Evan N`Dicka, Stefan Ilsanker, Andre Silva and Timothy Chandler saw yellow.

Mönchengladbach will next play Hoffenheim away, with Frankfurt facing Augsburg at home.
