Morbius' first reactions are here and it doesn't look good for Sony at all. Jared Leto plays the villainous vampire of Marvel is an origin story that reviews his long research to cure the ills and the radical change that he undergoes when he becomes a terrifying monster. The film — which is part of the Spider-Man universe — comes after the two installments of Venom and offers a new perspective on another Spider-Man antagonist.
“Set in the universe of Spider Man, it focuses on one of its most iconic villains, Morbius, a doctor who after suffering a blood disease and failing to heal himself, became a vampire,” says the official synopsis. In addition to Leto, the cast includes Adria Arjona, Matt Smith, Jared Harris, Tyrese Gibson, Michael Keaton, Corey Johnson and Al Madrigal.
In Latin America, the film will hit theaters on March 31, but some comments from critics specialized in the US have already been advanced. Are they negative or positive? Mostly, they describe a “bad movie” and the worst post-credit scene in the entire history of superhero cinema. On the other hand, some say that the most notable thing in the production was the character of Smith.
What do Morbius' first reactions say?
Sab Astley, from Collider: “Well, Morbius is as bad as they expected. A plot from 2005 clashes with a visually confusing CGI to create a little nap party. But don't worry, they've left the worst to the end with one of the worst post-credits scenes you've ever seen, Sony is out of it.”

Nicola Austin, from Fandom: “Well Morbius, unfortunately it's not great (some really bad visuals and a generic plot from 2000) and it's definitely not as fun as Venom. Really confused about the future of Sony's Spiderverse after post-credits and editing, but Matt Smith is clearly having a great time!”
Escape Film Club: “Morbius proves that no matter how many famous faces or brilliant images you include, Sony will always find a way to impressively misinterpret basic storytelling.”
Josh Barton, from JumpCut: “Morbius is as close as Marvel will get to Another Round, Michael Morbius filling himself with human blood. It's not great by any means. Jared Leto should have played him as Paolo, while Matt Smith does his best to inject some fun into the procedures. With the post-credits scenes it's clear where Sony is going with this, BUT the thought process behind making them really make sense is non-existent.”
Ren Vieira, from Wolf of Geek Street: “In Morbius, Matt Smith gloriously beautifies the place and Oliver Wood adds a visual touch to the action sequences. Other than that, the bad plot and messy CGI, confusing editing and the worst sound mix result in absolute incoherence. But the post-credits (scenes) manage to overcome everything.”

Morbius will be released on March 31 in cinemas in Latin America.
