This Friday, March 18, Millonarios won the victory for the slightest difference after a penalty by Daniel Ruíz against Once Caldas for matchday 11 of the BetPlay League. With this new triumph, Alberto Gamero's team continues its good campaign by remaining the leader.

Over the second half, the albiazul team dominated by keeping the ball in their favor. In fact, in the 60′ minute a criminal was decreed in favor of those led by the coach samario, after a foul by Murillo on the blue 10. Daniel Ruiz was in charge of collecting the shot and scored the first and only goal of the match.

Ruíz, 20 years old, has had a great performance in the matches of the ambassador team and has become an indispensable token in Alberto Gamero's squad. The match in which he stood out most was against Fluminense, for the Copa Libertadores, in Bogotá on February 23 where the locals lost 2-1.

For his good performances, the young '10′ ambassador is increasingly taking center stage, so much so that there is already talk of his possible departure from Millonarios to continue his career in teams from abroad. In fact, after the end of Friday's match Gamero spoke about the future of the Bogotá midfielder.

“He is still learning, at that stage where he must learn things. Here he is learning them, that he manages both profiles. The idea is that he is on a big team like Millionaires, he wants and everyone wants to date Millionaires, do the best campaign. Hopefully we have it for a long time, to consolidate what the project is. Let him understand that he lacks a lot of things to be that elite player.”

And he explained why he didn't make changes because of the position Ruíz plays: “Sometimes, that's what the match asks us to do. In the case of changes, they ask us that if a player does not do it well, we must remove it. If I see that he didn't feel well, even though Celis is playing on the left, Daniel likes it on the other side to get in. But there were no spaces.

On the other hand, a few days ago Enrique Camacho, president of the Bogotá club, calmed the rumors about the possible departure of Daniel Ruíz for an outside team. “I don't have any information of interest to a particular team. Not even a slight question about Daniel Ruiz, who is an excellent player, who is increasingly maturing within the team and we think he is going to be a future star of Millonarios. But there hasn't been any kind of contact with any team.”

With this in mind, the '10′ of Millonarios will continue for a long time in the capital's draw to continue strengthening and learning what is necessary so that later he can think about going to play in big teams, whether they are from Europe or Argentina.

Finally, after this triumph, Millonarios has 26 points and remains the leader of the Liga BetPlay Dimayor. On the next date he will visit Independiente Medellin, on March 23 at 8:15pm. Once Caldas will host Deportes Tolima on Tuesday 22nd of the same month at 6:00 p.m.
