Press Release -- The ICF Unveils Its New Logo

Guardar

The ICF is proud to finally unveil its newly designed logo for the first time to the public. The visually striking new logo will provide a consistent and distinct look for the Canoeing sport. It will reflect our identity, influencing our persona and the character of the ICF. The ICF will not discard its traditional logo, but the new one will be more ubiquitous.

“Last year at the Board meeting, the Board decided that the ICF needed a fresh look - a modern logo to make our sport more attractive. The international federations that have modern logos also have big sponsors, such as football and basketball. We want the public to identify our logo with canoeing,” says Jose Perurena, the ICF’s president.

The individual lines represent the diversity of our canoeing disciplines all moving in the same direction: Canoe Slalom, Canoe Sprint, Canoe Wildwater, Canoe Marathon, Canoe Freestyle, Dragon Boat, and Canoe Polo. The logo transcends the fluidity, buoyancy, speed and dynamic nature of the sport which is represented in the character of the lines, the blue represents water and the environment. Our logo, like our sport, is youthful, modern, cool, and always moving forward.
