Things are going from bad to worse at Universitario de Deportes. This morning fans of the 'crema' club went to talk to the footballers in Campo Mar after the tough rout against Alianza Lima in the Peruvian classic, but two players ended up being assaulted. After that, SAFAP's legal counsel expressed concern that these events occur normally every time.

The information I am handling at the moment is that there was an attack on a couple of Universitario players. What worries us is that these issues are becoming normal and today the fans enter the training camps of the clubs as if nothing happened,” said Jhonny Baldovino in conversation with Ovación.

According to information from RPP, the two 'merengues' footballers who had been attacked by the barristas would be the two Uruguayans Hernán Novick and Federico Alonso. In addition, it was confirmed that the 'U' squad had knowledge that fans were going to be at the training venue.

“I understand that the fan leaves everything in the grandstand and that they contribute to the club by paying their entrance fee, but they have to understand that a player under pressure or threat will not perform that while being calm. The bad thing is copied and here it is also the responsibility of the clubs because football players must be given greater security in their workplace”, continued the SAFAP representative.

Baldovino also referred to the sanctions that could be taken for this event. “If the Federation or the clubs do nothing, that role will surely be taken by SUNAFIL and will have to start fining institutions for not providing adequate security to their workers in their workplace. The bar may show its discontent, but aggression should never be involved.”
