Madrid, 15 Mar Marc Márquez, driver of the Repsol Honda team, who finished fifth in the first Qatar Grand Prix, assured against Mandalika that he is “very happy” to return and that it is “great” to be able to see all his “Indonesian fans after so many years”. The Spanish motorcyclist valued the weekend in Qatar and declared that they have “a lot of potential”, having scored his first 11 points and continuing to adapt to the new Honda RC213V in the three days of testing in Mandalika. The Indonesian layout is added to the calendar this year and Marquez hopes that the public will enjoy it and have a “good weekend for them to celebrate”. “Second Grand Prix and a new opportunity to understand the bike more and get closer to the fight to be ahead,” said the second world champion in a Repsol Honda press release. He added that even so “it's early” and they have to “keep working”. His teammate, Pol Espargaró, who finished third in Qatar, is being the fastest driver in training in Indonesia. “We arrived at a good time, a strong race in Qatar and we had a good test before in Mandalika,” explained the Catalan driver. “The plan is to continue working as we did in Lusail and in the preseason tests and continue to reach our full potential,” said Espargaró. In addition, he explained that they have resurfaced the track and “it should be of great help”, but they have to see “what is it like when we arrive”. The second MotoGP race will take place this Sunday in Mandalika, at 8.00 CET (7.00 GMT).
