Saúl Canelo Álvarez is the leader of the Canelo Team and under the orders of Eddy Reynoso different boxers have joined the most outstanding team in boxing today. Andy Ruiz Jr. is one of the team members and recently Canelo Alvarez accused him of being absent from training.

The unified champion of the super middleman pointed out that El Destroyer stopped attending training sessions at Eddy Reynoso's gym. Without paying attention to the scolding of Saul Álvarez, the former heavyweight champion boasted about his skill with his fists and how he has improved his striking technique.

Through social networks, the Mexican-American boxer reappeared after the accusations of the jaliscian. Andy Ruiz uploaded a video to his official Instagram account showing his physical appearance and how he has continued his boxing training. With a brief message, the boxer wrote “Just another day in the office”.

The first thing that stood out was his appearance because he has lost weight, he even boasted a completely unrecognizable appearance compared to the first times that Andy Ruiz entered the ring. Thinner and faster, the 32-year-old boxer was observed exchanging blows.

The recording shows how he makes a series of combination of strokes with a person who helps him connect each of the punches; another of the details that stand out is that the recording does not correspond to the Canelo Álvarez gym, since the ring and the details around it seem to be from another location, and he is also seen training with someone other than Eddy Reynoso.

The publication raised suspicions of his possible departure from the Canelo Team, however, so far neither of the two parties involved have spoken about it. The only thing Andy Ruiz made clear is that he is still preparing to fight above the ring and that he is still convinced to improve his appearance.

What did Canelo Alvarez say about Andy Ruiz?

During the press conference on the occasion of Canelo Álvarez's fight against Dmitry Bivol, the unified champion attended the media and talked about what was happening within the Canelo Team. After Ryan Garcia left the group due to “alleged lack of attention” on the part of Eddy Reynoso, Saul spoke about it and hinted at the Destroyer's lack of discipline .

“Eddy has time for all the fighters, you can ask everyone. If you give yourself the time to be in the gym and train properly with discipline, Eddy will always be there; if you come and train 20 minutes, then you don't come in four days or you arrive after the hour you had left, you need to be disciplined,” Saúl told the ESNews channel.

According to the tapatio, he didn't know what had happened with Ruiz Jr. because he had absent himself from training and pointed out that there must be discipline when training with them and refuted the idea that Edison Omar did not have time for everyone.

It should be noted that one of Andy Ruiz's goals when joining the Canelo Team focused on losing weight and having better preparation above the ring. After just over a year under the orders of Eddy Reynoso, he boasted of his first change in the fight he held against Chris Arreola on May 1, 2021.

Since then the Destroyer has not fought again and would be looking for a new rival to fight above the ring.
