Estados Unidos inició la semana pasada los ejercicios militares conjuntos Cobra Gold en Tailandia. Allí, en el país asiático, como una herramienta importante de supervivencia, los  soldados toman sangre de serpiente.

Como entrenamiento a los militares norteamericanos, tailandeses y surcoreanos les enseñan qué tipo de plantas o animales pueden comer, en caso que de que se pierden en la espesa jungla del sudeste asiático.

Por esta razón, los soldados aprenden a atrapar peligrosas serpientes cobra, matarlas y beberse su sangre, que, según los expertos, es hidratante y sirve para alimentarse.
