Lyon enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Troyes at Stade de l'Aube on Sunday. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Troyes arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Brest in their previous game. Lyon had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Paris Saint-Germain. As it stands, Troyes and Lyon currently occupy 17th and 10th spots in the table, with 17 points and 28 points respectively after 21 matches.

Lyon started strongly in the first half, thanks to a goal from Moussa Dembele, at 33 minutes, finishing the first half 0-1. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the game ended 1-0.

For Troyes, Jimmy Giraudon, came on for Dylan Chambost. Lyon brought on Xherdan Shaqiri and Malo Gusto, to replace Houssem Aouar and Moussa Dembele.

There were bookings for Gerson Rodrigues and Jimmy Giraudon from Troyes. For Lyon, Malo Gusto saw yellow.
